We are currently accepting applications for the H‑E‑B School of Retail Leadership (SORL) Program, which develops individuals to become Store Operation Leaders. Hands‑on management experience in all departments, classroom training, project work and workshops are designed to enhance the level of skill and leadership required to become a successful Store Leader.

Once you’re eligible, you’ll become an owner in the company, so we’re looking for commitment, hard work and a focus on quality and customer service.

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years of experience as a department manager
• A high‑level record of school and work achievement and performance

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent
• 1+ years as a primary or sub‑department manager
• Strong academic record (3.0 GPA preferred)
• Current performance rating meeting or exceeding expectations

• Hands‑on management experience in all departments
• Attend classroom training and workshops to enhance leadership skills
• Work with H‑E‑B Regional Leadership, Store Leadership and Department Managers to gain exposure to all aspects of retail operation
• Perform project work

• Strong leadership and decision‑making skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; service mentality
• Ability to build talent, build relationships, and drive results
• Ability to adapt quickly to the needs of the business
• Willingness to relocate based on business needs (relocation assistance provided)
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced retail environment that requires detailed work and precision
• Work while exposed to moderate noise level; lift and carry 40–60 lbs; stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat; work extended hours and varying schedule as dictated by the business
