Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervising assigned staff in accordance with their job descriptions, maintaining a high standard of work and is responsible for timely and accurate service delivery on all shifts. Remains cognizant of accrediting agency requirements and maintains manuals, logs and other documents to their standards. Is aware of and implements fire and safety regulations. Aids in developing and implementing all policies relating to Performance Improvement, Quality Control, the handling and disposal of radioactive materials within the section.

Shows leadership, delegates responsibility, establishes accountability among his/her staff participates in and encourages continuing education. Performs regular in-services, orientates new staff, performs annual evaluations and prepares work schedules, maintains inventory and staffing within budgetary limitations. Functions as a multimodality technologist as workload demands. May be required to attend imaging related committee meetings and to perform other such duties as required by the Radiology Manager.
