ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapist DPT/SCD (LPT) is responsible for evaluating, planning, educating, utilizing exercises and physical therapy modalities in the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with medical problems, health-related conditions, or developmental disabilities that limit their ability to move or perform functional activities. The Physical Therapist also helps prevent conditions associated with loss of mobility and promotes the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability to help individuals achieve healthy and active lifestyles.
Some travel may be required between facilities and for job functions. This summary highlights the primary duties but does not exclude other assignments.
- Must be able to travel to facilities as needed.
- Membership in a professional organization is preferred.
- Must be a graduate of a Doctoral program in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure in the State of Texas as a Physical Therapist is required, or a valid temporary license while waiting for the permanent license.
- Clinical experience is preferred.
- Must have and maintain current BCLS certification in accordance with the AHA Healthcare Provider curriculum.
