CEO Opportunity At Cornerstone Regional Hospital

Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE : UHS), one of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, is currently recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer at Cornerstone Regional Hospital in Edinburg, TX. Founded in 1998 by a group of physicians, the hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services with an emphasis on orthopedics and general surgery.

The hospital has 14 comfortable patient suites and is affiliated with the largest healthcare system in the Rio Grande Valley, South Texas Health System.

Position Summary

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for leading the overall strategic plan for the hospital and developing and implementing strategies to appropriately position the hospital to achieve corporate goals and market the services of the facility.

Essential Duties
  • Leads hospital senior team and participates in medical staff and governance strategic planning sessions.
  • Meets regularly with assigned hospital leadership to examine current financial performance, evaluate forecasts, and assure appropriate and timely interventions.
  • Assures consistent compliance with UHS quality, risk, financial, human resources and other expectations.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve overall patient satisfaction and is committed to superior service excellence.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of acute care hospital and health care management methods, financial management practices and general health care market trends.
  • Working knowledge of all relevant regulatory compliance and certification standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and executive management skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse relationships between board members, physicians, management, employee groups, and the community.
  • In depth understanding of financial management, operations, strategic needs, and interventions at the facility level.
  • Must be able to motivate, inspire, and communicate with individuals and groups.
  • MBA, MHA or related Degree from an accredited college / university program preferred.
  • 5-8 years of related hospital experience.
