Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Edinburg, TX, is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist to support students across various grade levels, from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and emotional well-being of students within a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and support services to students to foster mental health and academic success.
- Assist in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development and resolve challenges.
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with students in Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
- Strong assessment and counseling skills tailored to diverse student populations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.
- Knowledge of current educational laws, regulations, and psychological practices.
