    The Department of Occupational Therapy at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) seeks applicants for a non-tenure, part-time lecturer in its entry level Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program for the 2025 summer term. UTRGV faculty will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to student success and to advancing the university, college, and program missions.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualifications to be considered as a non-tenure track, part-time Lecturer is an earned doctoral degree of an academic (non-clinical) doctorate degree (e.g., PhD, Ed.D.) or post professional doctorate (e.g., OTD) in occupational therapy from an accredited institution.

The occupational therapist who holds an entry-level master’s degree with a concentration of experience and/or expertise in the OT practice area(s) needed by the program will be considered.

Discipline Specific

Required Qualifications

OT candidate must have three (3) or more years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist. Occupational Therapists must hold a Texas License or be eligible for a license in Texas as an occupational therapist.

Preferred Qualification

Teaching experience is desirable, as well as the ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
