DHR Health Transplant Institute has an exciting opportunity for a nephrologist to join our rapidly growing Kidney Transplant Program. Our team provides patients with the comprehensive care they need to receive a new chance trally located within the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, DHR Health Transplant Institute performed its first kidney transplant in 2017 and is the only CMS and UNOS/OPTN Certified Kidney Transplant Center in the region.
In 2025, our transplant team successfully completed 100 kidney transplantations. As such, we are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible nephrologist to join our team of two nephrologists. Eligible candidate must have completed a UNOS required AST/ASN-accredited Transplant Nephrology Fellowship and provided primary care for at least 30 newly transplanted kidney recipients, plus evaluation of 25 potential recipients and 10 potential living donors.
Pancreas transplantation experience is not required but preferred for potential pancreas transplant program in the future.
