Account Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Record customer payments, including cash, checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
• Post revenues by verifying and recording bank deposit transactions.
• Track, reconcile, and maintain accounts receivable, including invoices, debits, credits, and outstanding balances.
• Audit customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by collaborating with Sales, Trade Promotions, Customer Service, and customers.
• Contact customers via email and phone regarding outstanding balances, payment arrangements, and account inquiries, and support collection efforts.
• Resolve authorized deductions through appropriate adjusting entries and address unauthorized deductions according to established procedures.
• Manage collections-related activities, including reviewing customer payment history, credit limits, and payment plans.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
• Stay current on job knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.
• Support the accounting department and organizational objectives by performing related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college
• Minimum two (2) years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Strong work ethic and drive to achieve goals.
• Computer proficiency (Window, Word, Excel)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
