Sales Representative, Sales Development Rep/SDR, Business Development
Overview
The inside sales representative provides sales support to our sales team selling our Great Lakes portfolio of products and services. This role provides reactive phone support, e-mail sales support, and engages in proactive business development efforts to grow company revenue.
Responsibilities- Conduct outbound calls to potential customers to generate sales leads and promote company products and services.
- Utilizes proactive calls, emails, and social media outreach to build relationships with current and potential customers.
- Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions based on their requirements.
- Provide basic quotes, information on product availability, pricing, and competitive portfolio cross-referencing suggestions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up actions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive skills to close deals and overcome objections.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with customers.
- Self-motivated and target driven.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions for customers.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Proven experience in inside sales or telemarketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or related field.
- Experience in data center industry.
- Experience with CRM management.
