Job OverviewEbenezer is looking for a Resident Transport Specialist to join our team at the Ebenezer corporate office in Edina, MN. This position is responsible for developing and delivering a consistent, safety-focused training program for community drivers who operate community bus/vans within Ebenezer settings. It ensures all drivers are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and professionalism required to transport residents and volunteers reliably and compassionately, maintaining a high-quality transportation experience.
- On Call / Casual position
- Day shift available
- No weekends
- Develop and implement a standardized training curriculum for new bus/van drivers, including classroom instruction and hands‑on driving evaluation and practice.
- Educate employees on vehicle operation, safety protocols, defensive driving techniques, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct evaluations and ride‑along assessments to reinforce best practices.
- Maintain training records for trained employees.
- Collaborate with sites and managers to schedule onboarding sessions.
- Provide refresher courses to existing staff to maintain program consistency.
- Special Transportation Services (STS) Driver Certification upon hire
- Medical exam certification upon hire
- Driver's license in good standing upon hire
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be insurable under the employer's auto insurance coverage
- 3 years experience in transportation
- 1 year training experience
