Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

- Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
- Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
- Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
- Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Typical Day / Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality
- Explain features of the Target App including Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering
- Assist with returns following store policies and escalate to leadership as needed
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
- Operate in a safe, ethical, and compliant manner
- Support guest services (OPU, Drive-Up, DU Returns) and comply with applicable laws
- All other duties based on business needs

Required Skills / Qualities
- Effective communication and a welcoming attitude
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to educate guests about products and services
- Ability to use handheld scanners and technology equipment; work independently and with a team
- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Other Basics
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
- Scan, move and stock merchandise safely, with lifting requirements up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
- Ability to stay mobile for the duration of shifts
- Work in varying temperatures and conditions in roles such as Drive-Up and carryout
