Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care Float Pool at our M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital located in Edina, MN.

Schedule
:
This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length is 12 hours on the night shift (7PM – 7:30AM) with a rotation every 3rd weekend. The RN role offers an additional $2.00/hour for being in the Float Pool.

About the Critical Care Float Pool at Southdale Hospital
:

• As an RN on our team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in multiple units.
• You will float to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Emergency Department (ED).
• In less frequent capacity, may float to Neuro, Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical, and IMC units.
• There may be additional opportunities to cross-train more areas if needs dictate, such as Post-Partum, EmPath, Endoscopy, etc.

As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;

• Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Responsibilities
