Fairview is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This position is 64 hours every two weeks on the Day/Evening shift with 8‑hour shifts, and every other weekend. Eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision and other standard benefits.

The Birthplace at Southdale Hospital consists of NICU, Family Care Center, and Labor and Delivery. It includes 12 Labor/Delivery/Birthing rooms, 4 flex rooms, 3 OB triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, a recovery room, 30‑bed Mom/Baby private rooms, and the 18‑bed Level III NICU. The unit averages 250 births per month, offering professional growth through cross‑training opportunities.

The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is the primary receptionist and concierge for the unit, ensuring a positive first impression for guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring outstanding patient and guest experience
• Coordinating unit activities to support patient care staff
• Managing medical record and data flow within the unit to support safe patient care processes
• Fulfilling physician orders
• Performing other tasks as needed

• 1 year customer service experience

• 2+ years customer service experience
• Previous HUC, administrative or hospitality industry experience
