Job Overview

M Health Fairview is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Float Pool at our Edina campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated RN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys the challenge of working across multiple specialty areas.

As a Float Pool RN, you will gain valuable experience on a variety of units including Neuro, Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical, and Intermediate Care. You may also float to Orthopedic, Medical/Telemetry, Observation, and Oncology units as needed, with opportunities for additional cross‑training to expand your skills even further.

The Float Pool RN is responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with professional practice standards, M Health Fairview policies, and the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act.

Schedule:

This night shift position is scheduled for 60 hours per pay period (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with every third weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The role offers an additional $2.00 per hour differential for Float Pool assignment.

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership‑based health care.
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP).

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Minimum 6 months acute care RN experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 1 year experience

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
