IT Systems Administrator (Systems Administrator – SME (NCR))

Location: Pentagon

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: MA/MS (or a BA/BS plus an additional 4 years of work-related experience)

Expected Outcomes
  • Formally track all tasks, to include: assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
  • Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
  • Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
  • Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer the Local Area Networks (LANs) and cloud-based networks and software applications on a continual basis at CDM sites/locations.
  • Provide assistance in audit collection and updating technical documentation packages.
  • Provide written test results and implementation plan, routed through appropriate approvals and user notifications.
  • Ensure upgrade/modifications of IT software are stable and backup is maintained.
  • Provide system development services for software enhancements:
    • Prepare plans and analyze requirements (RR #35).
    • Document specifications, design system configurations, conduct requirements, integrate tests, and write documentation (RR #36).
  • Assist Government personnel in providing effective and efficient technical solutions.
  • Ensure that all efforts make maximum use of commercially available packages and development tools.
  • Maximize and facilitate code re-use by leveraging already existing or project-specific software re-use libraries.
  • Provide IT hardware support:
    • Provide verification of access control, documentation of audit trails, and technical support in areas that supplement design stage activities including:
    • Interface with the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, Defense Messaging System, and other networks, specialized systems as required.
  • Provide information security engineering support.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience.
  • Of those 15 years, at least ten (10) years of work-related experience supporting a component of the DoD.
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • Security+ or DAWIA equivalent certification.
  • A graduate of an ABET-accredited systems engineering program.
  • Joint Staff experience.
The Following Qualifications Are Desired
  • Experience in IT systems integration.
  • Experience in Database integration techniques.
  • Experience in Data visualization.
  • Systems engineering tools (Sparx EA, Cameo, Core, etc.).
  • Enterprise architecture development.
  • Knowledge of JCIDS, PPBE, and DAS.
  • Process mapping, e.g. BPMN or other.
  • Modeling and simulation.
Travel

Local Travel, to multiple locations Required.
