The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, procedure documentation, patient education and assisting with patient care. Vascular & Interventional Experts is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
This is a full-time position working 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday out of our Vascular & Interventional Experts-Edina Clinic.
Essential Functions- Demonstrates knowledge of radiological equipment & safety, shielding techniques, imaging skills and equipment trouble-shooting skills, analyzing and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the IR department.
- Circulate and scrub during procedures, patient education, assisting with patient care within scope of practice and inventory management.
- Able to identify adverse events or unanticipated outcomes using critical thinking skills and notifies the medical staff including nurses and physicians appropriately
- Practice Radiation Safety in accordance with regulations. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis
- Request medical records and imaging from other sites
- Assist VIE Provider with accurate data collection, documentation, and data entry for compliance
- Analyze and assist in resolving problems resulting in improvement of patient care, practice, and system operations.
- Other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program
- RT(VI), RT(CV), or RT(CT) preferred. Willing to cross-train
- Experience as an interventional technologist preferred
- BLS required
- Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
