Video Production Internship – Twin Cities 2026
Blue Key Media is seeking a dependable, hardworking, empathetic, creative video intern to join our team this summer. This summer video production internship is based in the Twin Cities at Blue Key Media’s office in Edina, and runs from June 2026 through August 2026, with the potential to extend into Fall 2026. It is part-time, 24-40 hours per week,

Blue Key Media is passionate about serving nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations to help them fundraise and recruit more effectively through heart-focused, people-centered video storytelling. If you’re passionate about creating docu-style stories that showcase emotion, impact, and heart– this is the perfect role for you! As a Video Production Intern, you’ll get first-hand experience with what it’s like creating video in the corporate production world, assisting on client video shoots or editing projects. You’ll have the opportunity to observe and learn about professional video equipment, techniques, editing workflow and production processes that will equip you to succeed in the profession. You’ll get to rub shoulders and work closely with members of our team to help you develop your skills and gain an edge in the workplace.
You’ll get experience in all the elements of video production, whether it’s assisting on-set, working in the edit room, or being a part of a creative meeting.
The Role
- Assist on-set as a production assistant performing various roles that help improve the shoot
- Capture Behind-the-Scenes video and photos during productions
- Help manage the gear and prep productions
- Assist with day-to-day video operations
- Learn Blue Key’s Post-Production workflow and help organize, log, and assemble timelines for internal and client projects

Qualifications You Should Have- Experience producing video and/or digital assets within a production environment
- Video Editing Experience either in Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve
- Fresh-thinking, with the awareness of what makes video impactful
- Knowledge of and willingness to learn production workflow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects
- Positive attitude and can-do mentality
- Enthusiastic, curious personality who is fascinated by the art of storytelling
- Quick learner and problem solver
- 30 – 40 hours per week
- Compensation: $13.50/hr
- Reliable transportation to commute to the office and video shoot locations
- Active college student
