Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review of customer contracts, Statements of Work, Purchase Order quality clauses, drawings and specifications
• Review and approval of quality requirements for Manufacturing Planning and Supplier Purchase Order
• Participate in QMS process management
• Drive improvement
• Analyze data to develop metrics and trends
• Assist with establishing root causes of failures and defects
• Assist with completion of customer issued corrective actions as well as issuance and follow up of internal CARs
• Use of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and configuration control of documents
• Experience with Configuration Control Board (CCB), review of ECNs, drawings, source control specifications, test plans & reports
• Good working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with managing and performing audits, processes and practices associated with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Investigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement techniques; e.g., RCCA, 8D, 5-Why, PFME
• Effectively lead and manage the day-to-day performance and tasking of people by being a role model to others, monitoring progress on objectives and behaviors and coaching others for success
• Making decisions independently related to quality issue
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• Significant experience in lieu of a degree considered

Required / Preferred

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
• Quality engineering experience in an ISO-9001 environment required
• Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI) required
• Experience working in a union environment preferred

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Salary and Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $71,360 - $160,560/yr and will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
