Financial Manager
Overview
Reporting to the VP Finance, the Program Finance Manager (PFM) is responsible for all program accounting, billings, program finance reporting, EACs, forecasting and partnering with the Program Manager and Sales teams from pricing to financial reporting of the programs.
The PFM is also responsible to lead, manage and develop a team of Program Financial Analysts (PFA).
Responsibilities- Manage, support and develop a team of Program Financial Analysts, including supervising, reviewing and validating their work. Set goals and personal objectives, review progress against goals, and complete and communicate mid-year and year end reviews.
- Assign Program Financial Analysts to all programs.
- Provide ongoing analytical financial support to the Program Manager to facilitate the preparation of financials, support detailed program reviews and identify key areas of risk and/or opportunity. Ensure that program financials are appropriately accounted for. This includes:
- Review all cost elements charged to assigned programs to confirm amounts are reasonable and accurate; analyze SAP cost and rate application to ensure proper accounting of projects.
- Prepare budget files from approved/won bid models, compare variances, and propose suggestions for recovery where applicable.
- Work with different programs and understand the accounting treatments within the SAP system.
- Collaborate with assigned Program Managers to document contract performance to date, ETC and EAC projections, and provide forecast inputs (rolling 12 months) of revenue and gross margin per project.
- Prepare invoices in accordance with government contracts and FAR requirements.
- Monitor cumulative billings against contract value and highlight programs approaching full billings.
- Be the Finance Leader in monthly program reviews.
- Ensure that all program reviews are complete and accurate.
- Create WBSs in SAP in accordance with the contract based on an understanding of how the WBS will function within SAP.
- Increase business acumen at all levels of the business.
- Identify quality improvements and evaluate opportunities to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting. - Preferred education:

Experience:
8 years’ experience; expert in SAP; government pricing experience desired. - Education Level: Not specified beyond above.
- Additional Qualifications:
Manufacturing, commercial, and/or corporate accounting/finance experience.
