The best career is right here. St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Wound Care unit located at our Edgewood, Kentucky location. Shift &
Hours:
1st shift; part‑time, 24 hours weekly.
Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Responsible for providing consultation and coordination of the care of patients requiring wound care assessment, management and treatment (involves skin, wounds, ostomies, pressure sores, incontinence and other wound care arenas). Collaborates with nursing staff, medical staff and other health care providers in establishing and executing policies, procedures and standards of care for wound care management patients.
Minimum RequirementsEducation, Credentials, Licenses:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed. BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state‑required courses.
Specialized Knowledge:
Basic knowledge in current skin, ostomy and wound care practices. Understanding of the organizational structures of the hospital, its policies and practices. Able to be self‑directed and highly motivated.
Kind and Length of
Experience:
Minimum requirements of 3 years current clinical experience in an acute care facility. Prior experience in skin, ostomy and wound care clinical practice/management.
