Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in hospital ICU setting

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process

• One year of nursing experience required

• North Carolina RN license required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC)

• Nursing diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited nursing school required

• BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school preferred

• Assess patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects of care

• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans

• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care

• Participate in patient education and assess readiness to learn of patients, families, and caregivers

• Develop and update plans of care in collaboration with patients and families

• Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care

• Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities

• Promote cost-effective care and maintain safe, clean hospital environment
