Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital medical surgical setting

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process

• Assess patient physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs

• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans

• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care

• Develop relationships with families to promote patient advocacy

• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families

• Participate in patient education and assess readiness to learn

• Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care

• Participate in professional development and performance improvement activities

• One year of nursing experience required

• Nursing diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited school of nursing required

• BSN or MSN from accredited school preferred

• Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
