Oncology Advanced Practice Provider needed to join UNC Cancer Care at Rockingham in Eden, NC. The team is described as a compassionate family committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and warm environment for both patients and staff.

  Our team provides personalized and empathetic care with medical and radiation oncology, infusion services (chemotherapy, immunotherapy), oncology navigation and nutrition support, genetic testing, hormone therapy, surgery, clinical trials, laboratory and pharmacy services, patient education, and financial consultations.

• Conduct follow-up visits and surveillance for patients post-cancer treatment or with hematologic conditions.
• Initiate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions during chemotherapy or other treatments, and interpret lab results.
• Manage acute/episodic visits and side effects, and recognize urgent issues.
• Oversee some chronic condition management.
• Handle new hematology consults in collaboration with the physician.
• Assist in developing a new oncology care model to enhance patient outcomes.

• Must meet criteria for medical staff credentials at UNC Health Rockingham.
• Education Requirements
  :
  Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensure/Certification Requirements
  :
  Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in North Carolina or eligible. Board certification. DEA.
• Professional Experience Requirements
  :
  Two years’ experience as an APP in oncology or related field preferred.
