Responsibilities

As a Sales Inspector, you’ll be responsible for understanding Orkin’s termite protection services and how to make strategic recommendations to customers. By performing 360 inspections from attics to crawlspaces and everything in between, you’ll solve problems and build trusted relationships, ensuring homes and families are protected.

  • Earn top wages, recognition, and opportunities for annual awards trips.
  • Serve as a problem solver, using in‑depth training to decide on the best overall pest solution for each customer.
  • Achieve goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads, supported by a robust advertising budget.
  • Schedule sales appointments and meet with potential customers in their homes to explain products and services.
  • Inspect interior and exterior of the customer’s home.
  • Make recommendations based on inspection findings, addressing any questions, and setting expectations.
  • Stay organized and prepare sales agreements using a company‑provided iPad.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

No experience required – we’ll train you!

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Acceptable drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to obtain required pesticide license/certification (company paid).
  • Ability to work independently in the field and interact with customers.
Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:

  • First month training in the field alongside the Orkin Pro team.
  • Use a ladder within manufacturer’s weight capacity.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and more, with ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Wear PPE, sometimes requiring an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
