Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities, and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; assist guests with enrollment and use
- Handle returns per policy and escalate to Leaders as needed
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal
- Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests
- Work safely and comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up orders, and returns, maintaining compliance with applicable laws
- All other duties based on business needs
- You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members
- You thrive in a fast-moving, active role requiring teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times)
- Effective communication and a welcoming attitude toward guests and teammates
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Willingness to educate guests about products and services
- Ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners and operate technology as directed
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within time frames
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office functions as needed
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
- Remain mobile for the duration of a shift
- Work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout
