Elementary Manager; K-3

Overview

Grace Church - Eden Prairie is seeking an Elementary Manager to lead Grace Kids’ Ministry for Kindergarten through third grade in alignment with our vision (n Doc). This is a full-time, exempt position (40 hours/week) with a salary of $55,000/year.

The Elementary Manager will provide leadership and ownership of all facets of Grace Kids’ Ministry for K–3 in execution of the church vision. The primary indicators of success are:

• Creating amazing environments for kids to experience Jesus, have fun, and be safe.
• Building a culture for volunteers to thrive, discipling kids through encouragement and coaching, modeling our culture, and staying connected in community with volunteers and families.
• Developing relationships with parents for encouragement and connection.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Effectively contribute to communication and champion the vision of Grace Church as a whole and specifically for Grace Kids Ministry.
• Energize ministry through presence during live programming – primarily Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
• Demonstrate a reliance on God through a personal commitment to prayer and expectation that God will do great things at Grace Kids.
• Train, develop and maintain effective volunteers, disciple rs, and leaders.
• Communicate spiritual truths to and aid in the spiritual growth of children by creating amazing environments where kids can experience Jesus, have fun and be safe.
• Ensure implementation of Grace Church Child Safety Policy.
• Maintain a professional posture, a positive can-do attitude, and confidentiality in all tasks/relationships.
• Collaborate with Grace Kids Team and other departments regarding Elementary Programming, classroom, big room and special events.
• Attend regular monthly meetings with NXT Gen Worship and coordinate related activities (PCO and Worship Leaders).
• Collaborate with NXT Gen + Grace Kids for large room vibe, songs, and structure.
• Plan and oversee all aspects of programming for primary Elementary Students (K–3rd), including curriculum, instruction, worship, large room, vibe, engagement, etc.
• Oversee Grace Kids Sunday – Primary (K–3), Grace Kids Tuesday – SPARKS (K–2), Grace Kids Wednesday – SPARKS (K–2), and Grace Kids VBS – (K–4).
• Collaborate with Grace Kids Team for department-wide and church-wide events.
• Lead, supervise, and develop all direct reports effectively.
• Oversee all communication with leaders, parents, and kids.
• Collaborate with NXT Gen Worship team to facilitate Grace Kids Worship Choir.
• Collaborate with GK Volunteer team for annual recruitment of volunteers.
• Manage the Elementary budget.
• Network with Grace Church Chaska and kids’ ministries from other churches.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience required: 5+ years of experience in Kid’s ministry, leadership or management.
• Education required:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or other relevant focus.
• License/Ordination:
  Ability to become licensed by Grace Church.
• Successful history of connecting with, teaching, and discipling kids and parents.
• Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church.
• Inclination to servant-hearted leadership with kids, families and disciple rs (volunteers).
• Ability to teach and instruct based on thorough knowledge of the Word of God.
• Proven ability to effectively execute vision and shepherd a ministry team.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
• Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
• Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church (collaboration with team to ensure regular church attendance).
• Participation and commitment to a monthly day of Prayer. Even Months, team day of prayer. Odd Months, personal day of prayer.
