At Ecowize North America, we go beyond cleaning food production facilities — we safeguard public health and drive operational excellence. As part of our team, you’ll join a mission-driven organization committed to food safety, innovation, and people development. If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and make a measurable difference, this role is for you.

About the Role:

Assistant Site Manager

As an Assistant Site Manager, you’ll partner with the Site Manager to oversee sanitation operations at one of our client facilities. You’ll help prepare the site for sanitation, support and supervise team members during shifts, and ensure compliance with food safety and safety standards.

This role is hands‑on, dynamic, and essential — a strong fit for someone ready to grow into full site leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Support Daily Sanitation Operations:
Assist in coordinating and overseeing disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of equipment.
  • Lead by Example:
Supervise, coach, and support sanitation techs to ensure safe practices and quality cleaning.
  • Maintain Compliance:
Reinforce GMPs, SSOPs, USDA/FDA regulations, allergen controls, and safety standards.
  • Inspect and Approve Work:
Assist with inspections before, during, and after sanitation to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Collaborate with Site Leadership:
Partner with the Site Manager and client contacts to align sanitation with production needs.
  • Drive Documentation:
Help maintain accurate records of sanitation processes, training, attendance, and corrective actions.
  • Be Audit‑Ready:
Support audit and inspection preparation by ensuring documentation and practices meet requirements.
  • Step Up as Needed:
Act as the lead in the Site Manager’s absence, ensuring operations run smoothly.
What You Bring
  • 3–5 years in food processing (USDA/FDA environment required).
  • 1–2 years as a Site Supervisor or Team Lead in sanitation or production.
  • Sanitation Knowledge:
Familiar with GMPs, SSOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), HAZCOMM, and PPE standards.
  • Leadership Skills:
Ability to coach, motivate, and support frontline teams.
  • Bilingual Preferred:
    English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Adaptability:
Willingness to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and in all plant environments (hot, cold, wet, loud).
Core Competencies for Success
  • Dependability:
You’re consistent, reliable, and committed to the team’s success.
  • Leadership Potential:
You’re eager to grow your management skills and take on more responsibility.
  • Detail‑Oriented:
You ensure processes are followed, and standards are met every time.
  • Collaborative:
You work well with peers, supervisors, and client contacts.
  • Resilient:
You adapt quickly to changing needs and stay professional under pressure.
What We Value
