The Senior Manager, Cloud Operations will be responsible for overseeing the cloud infrastructure and operations, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP standards, and driving continuous improvement in cloud services.

This role requires a strong background in cloud technologies and site reliability engineering. The ideal candidate will be technically hands‑on while also being an effective people manager, capable of wearing both hats equally. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely
* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the cloud operations team to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud services
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Azure, followed by AWS
  • Ensure compliance with FedRAMP standards and other regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions that meet business needs
  • Develop and implement strategies for monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery
  • Drive continuous improvement in cloud operations through automation and process optimization
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in cloud operations
  • Be well‑versed in AI and capable of applying emerging AI tools to improve team efficiency

If you are offered this position, you will be required to provide extensive personal information to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of your employment. United States citizenship is required for this position.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud operations, site reliability engineering, or related roles
  • 5+ years of Azure cloud experience or combination of Azure and AWS cloud
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Math, Physics
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
  • 2+ years of experience with FedRAMP compliance and industry regulations
  • 2+ years experience with CI/CD tools like Git Hub, Git Lab, or Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
  • 2+ years experience with Git Ops tools like ArgoCD or Flux
