Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead a high-visibility, cross-functional healthcare program within a large, matrixed organization. The PM will oversee business and technology work streams, drive progress across multiple stakeholder groups, and ensure timely delivery of all milestones, risks, and dependencies. This role requires exceptional ownership, communication, and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Top Responsibilities (Daily / Weekly Expectations)

• Create and maintain a comprehensive project plan for business work streams, including miletones, dependencies, risks, and resource needs.
• Track task completion and newly added tasks across business and technology teams to maintain project accuracy.
• Provide weekly progress reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, blockers, and recommendations.
• Manage issues, risks, and dependencies, ensuring accountability and timely resolution by partnering with the appropriate owners.
• Ensure the program stays on track by driving alignment between business and technology teams, escalating when needed.
• Apply Extreme Ownership principles to proactively identify gaps, propose solutions, and maintain forward momentum.
• Influence and motivate team members without direct reporting authority to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Anticipate problems early and independently design corrective actions to avoid delays.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Strong background in healthcare with direct experience working in a large, highly matrixed environment.
• Experience supporting Medicare & Medicaid programs, HEDIS quality initiatives, or similar regulatory/operational programs.
• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of deliverables and drive accountability across diverse teams.
• Track record of building strong relationships and guiding cross-functional teams toward outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of project/program management on complex and highly visible technology-related initiatives.
• 10+ years experience managing project plans, milestone plans, and weekly status reporting.
• 5+ years experience working within Agile environments.
• 3+ years experience supporting HEDIS or Healthcare Quality programs.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational abilities with capacity to work independently without direction.
• Ability to quickly identify risks, blockers, and solutions in fast-moving environments.
