Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) assist clients with all daily living activities, personal care, household maintenance, and program implementation. DSPs ensure the daily well‑being and safety of clients, provide supervision, and support a home environment.

ScheduleWeek 1:
Wed 3pm-11pm, Thu 3pm-11pm, Fri 3pm-11pm, Sat 8am-11pm.
Week 2:
Sun 8am-11pm, Wed 3pm-11pm, Thu 3pm-11pm, Fri 3pm-11pm.
$19.50 per hour.
Weekend differential +$2.00 hour for hours between Fri 10pm and Sun 10pm. Overnight differential +$1.00 hour for hours between 10pm and 6am. Sleep hours only $12.13 per hour when assigned.
Retention Bonus$1,500 Retention Bonus for full‑time staff & $750 for part‑time staff, paid out over 1 year.
Essential Job Functions and Key Duties and Responsibilities- Assists clients with daily cares, medical needs, and supports, ADLs, and mental health supports.
- Provides a daily routine with hygiene, domestic tasks, leisure time, grooming, socializing, budgeting, safety, health, studying, homework completion, and community membership.
- Plays recreation, leisure, and community activities.
- Drives to/from and accompanies clients at appointments and community activities using a company vehicle during all hours of operation.
- Assists clients in establishing and maintaining community relationships and facilitating friendships.
- Demonstrates understanding of the client as a unique individual and implements plans per CSSP, CSSP‑A, and Individual Abuse Prevention Plan.
- Provides person‑centered services through practice, action, and language.
- Maintains knowledge of client history, skills, vulnerabilities, habilitation plans, and emergency procedures.
- Participates in the support team process; assists with developing and implementing goals.
- Maintains and performs proper administration and documentation of all prescribed medication, treatments, diets, and exams per CSSP and CSSP‑A.
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and MORA policies and procedures.
- Prepares meals per planned menu; completes weekly food ordering as needed.
- Assists with daily housekeeping and household maintenance.
- Completes house quality improvement assessments and addresses identified issues.
- Ensures adequate supervision of clients, remaining on shift until a replacement arrives.
- Works harmoniously with and shows respect to all internal and external individuals.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing, using the primary spoken language of clients in the home.
- Completes all mandatory training determined by MORA or regulations.
- Reads and follows company policies and procedures.
- Remains awake at all times unless working an assigned sleeping shift.
- Documents program data and daily log information accurately and timely.
- Collaborates with the team to complete other duties as assigned.
- At least 1 year of experience with clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Interest in supporting clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs.
- Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
- Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General.
- Must successfully complete company’s physical job demands document.
- Must have a valid current driver’s license and vehicle insurance as required by state law.
- Must complete Medication Administration class and pass medications using correct procedure without error.
- Must use the computer in alignment with client needs and company procedures.
