Mechanical Designer – HVAC/Plumbing/Piping

As a Mechanical Designer, you will join an established team with a 50-year track record of delivering high-quality work across education, healthcare, hospitality, and light commercial projects. From plumbing, to sheet metal (HVAC) and hydronics, insulation, and controls, you’ll model and draft mechanical systems.

What the Mechanical Designer Will Do:
- Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for construction, fabrication, and project closeout packages
- Produce fully coordinated 3D mechanical models, installation drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-builts
- Prepare equipment schedules, isometrics, and mechanical construction documents
- Participate in coordination meetings with project managers, superintendents, and foremen
- Work closely with other trades, reviewing partition plans and reflected ceiling plans to prevent jobsite conflicts
- Travel to project sites for field verification, scanning, layout, and team coordination
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, detail, and accountability in your work
About the Mechanical Project Manager:
- 3+ years of mechanical drafting or modeling experience
- Understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
- Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360
- AutoCAD MEP, or Revit experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Experience with BIM modeling or 3D scanning is a bonus
- Associate Degree in Drafting Technology (or related field) preferred
