Job Description:

The CAD Manager will be responsible for leading a team of CAD Designers, primarily working with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault. The role involves overseeing the design of industrial control panels and managing controlled drawings and standards in Autodesk Vault. The manager will coordinate work for up to ten CAD Designers.

Responsibilities:

• Support engineering teams in the design and documentation of electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts.
• Develop and maintain procedures to enforce CAD standards.
• Analyze and produce productivity enhancements and customizations, including automated quality checks.
• Provide technical expertise for transferring CAD data to our production CNC machine.
• Train internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, and upgrades, as well as best practices.
• Offer production and technical support for all CAD software.
• Conduct regular CAD meetings to disseminate new information.
• Schedule CAD Designer resources for various projects.
• Communicate effectively and work well with others.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Essential experience with UL508A Control Panel design.
• Preferred servant-leadership attitude.

Physical Demands:

Visual and color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands.

Driving and the ability to travel for meetings and projects.

Standard office environment with frequent use of personal computers, facsimile, and copy machines.
