Teacher’s Aide – Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center
The Teacher’s Aide supports teachers in creating a nurturing, positive, and engaging learning environment where young children can thrive and develop foundational skills. Working collaboratively and flexibly, they foster social‑emotional growth, encourage curiosity, and support consistent daily routines.

What You’ll Do Support Curriculum Implementation- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing play‑based, age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with Minnesota’s early‑learning standards.
- Help maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters a sense of belonging, safety, and curiosity.
- Provide active supervision to ensure children’s safety and engagement in all classroom and outdoor activities.
- Assist in observing and recording developmental milestones under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment.
- Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
- Greet families and support positive daily interactions during drop‑off and pick‑up times under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Director.
- Help provide updates using the center’s communication platform regarding children’s daily activities, meals, rest, and learning experiences.
- Must meet the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Teacher’s Aide qualification requirements.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 65 lb, bending, stooping, and responding quickly to emergencies.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements for working in a childcare setting.
- Must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

Starting pay range: $14–$17 per hour, applicable to candidates who will be working in Minnesota. Y considers education, experience, internal equity, market demands, and other qualifying criteria when determining wages.
