Position: Supply Chain Lead; Import & Customs Compliance

We are seeking a Supply Chain Lead (Import & Customs Compliance) with strong import, customs compliance, and retail logistics experience to join our team in Eden Prairie, MN.

This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with hands-on experience managing customs entries, broker relationships, and international shipments
, ideally within a large retail or Walmart-adjacent environment
. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliant, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods from international suppliers to U.S. distribution.

• Manage the full lifecycle of international purchase orders from supplier through final delivery
• Coordinate and oversee customs entry, import clearance, and broker activities
  , ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and other regulatory agencies
• Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure accurate assessment of duties and tariffs
• Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs to maintain efficient import and distribution operations
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with third-party logistics service providers and freight forwarding partners to ensure high service levels and optimal pricing.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure production timelines, shipping requirements, and delivery targets are met
• Track and monitor international air and ocean shipments, troubleshooting delays or compliance issues as needed
• Stay current on import/export regulations and trade compliance requirements; document and maintain import/export procedures
• Support distribution and logistics activities aligned with major retail partners, including big-box and mass retail environments

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business
  , or equivalent experience
• Direct experience with imports, customs clearance, and customs entry processes
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Harmonized System / HTS classifications
• Duties, tariffs, and trade compliance regulations
• International shipping documentation and clearance procedures
• Experience working with or supporting large retailers (Walmart, Walmart-adjacent suppliers, or similar big-box retailers strongly preferred)
• Background in distribution, retail logistics, or supply chain operations
• Experience collaborating with customs brokers;
  customs broker license is a strong plus
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
• Experience with Oracle Net Suite and SPS Commerce is a plus
