Compensation: $65,000 – $90,000 per year, varying with experience and qualifications.

• Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform work as outlined on the multi‑point inspection and/or repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
• Explain technical diagnosis and necessary repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including store manager, service consultants, and customers.
• Recommend services needed to maintain vehicle operating condition; properly document all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to direct supervisor.
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, company policies and Employee Handbook procedures.
• Work flexible schedules, Monday–Friday.

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school experience preferred.

• Exposure to moderate to loud noise, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
• Work environment temperature varies; may include extreme heat or cold.
• May require safety goggles or other PPE.
• Stand up to eight hours per day; walk to various areas of the shop.
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly; maintain full range of motion with arms and hands.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus.
