We’re looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Services Finance team. In this highly visible role, you’ll provide day‑to‑day accounting governance and support for Corporate Services while serving as a key process lead for real estate transactions & accounting. You’ll partner closely with finance and operations teams across the enterprise, ensuring that business decisions are supported with accurate accounting and strong financial controls.
This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.
What You’ll DoLead and support core accounting activities, including:
- Prepare, document, and record complex lease transactions (including technical accounting)
- Analyze unique real estate transactions and present conclusions to internal partners
- Serve as the primary accounting contact for the CoStar lease accounting system
- Oversee fixed asset accounting: capitalization assessments, asset creation, useful life maintenance, and depreciation schedules
- Manage real estate-related balance sheet reconciliations (property taxes, vendor accruals, prepaids, reimbursements, lease accounting, etc.)
- Prepare month-end journal entries and reporting for Corporate Services balance sheet
- Assist with consolidation and forecasting of Corporate Services results
- Ensure accuracy of legal entity and intercompany activity
- Partner with Corporate Services Transaction Management on lease contract reviews
- Provide accounting guidance to support M&A activity
- Support audits and help maintain a strong internal control environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant professional accounting experience
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end close activities
- Cross-functional partnership in a matrixed environment
- Researching and applying U.S. GAAP
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- CPA license (active or expired)
- Experience with:
- ASC 842 lease accounting
- Fixed asset accounting
- CoStar lease accounting system
- People Soft or Hyperion Essbase
