Fire Door Assemblers

Location: Gwent

TAY Recruitment are currently recruiting for Fire Door Assemblers for their client based in the Newport area.

Due to continuous ongoing developments, exciting opportunities have arisen for individuals to join the growing team.

The position for Fire Door Assembler is on an ongoing temporary basis but can go permanent for the person.

Responsibilities

* Assemble fire doors by following detailed technical drawings and specifications

* Ensure all components are correctly fitted, aligned, and secured during assembly

* Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to meet safety standards

* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency

* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines

* Follow health and safety protocols at all times during assembly procedures

What’s expected of you

* A positive, can-do attitude with basic problem-solving abilities

* Preferred (but not essential) qualified to an NVQ level 2 in carpentry or similar equivalent qualification.

* Demonstrable wood finishing skills, an eye for detail and a high
-quality work ethic is essential.

* Experience of assembling fire doors is essential

* Self
-motivated and able to achieve individual and team targets in a production environment.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in construction or manufacturing environments is advantageous

* Knowledge of system design principles related to fire door assembly is desirable

* Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

* Ability to read technical drawings and instructions accurately

* Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

* Commitment to health and safety regulations in the workplace
