Tax Senior or Assistant Manager

Location: Gwent

Our client is one of the largest independent accountancy practices in Wales and part of a nationwide group of independent firms.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Tax Assistant Manager or Senior to join their established team in Newport.

The Role

You will manage a mixed personal and corporate tax portfolio and support advisory work.

Key duties:

• Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients

• Prepare and review corporation tax returns

• Prepare personal tax, P11

Ds and partnership returns

• Assist with complex corporate tax cases

• Deal with HMRC correspondence and enquiries

• Identify tax planning opportunities

• Support and mentor junior staff

• Ensure deadlines are met

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or QBE)

• Strong corporate and personal tax experience

• Confident dealing with clients and HMRC

• Organised with strong attention to detail

Working Hours

• 37.5 hours per week

• Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm

• Office-based in Newport
