The registered nurse (RN) coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care, planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The RN provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership duties, and quality improvement efforts, and delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, acuity, fiscal accountability, and resources.
Excellent communication, mentoring, teaching, and committee participation skills are required. A subset of employees may need to drive their personal vehicle as part of the role.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship; successful sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of Visa Screen or equivalent certification.
Qualifications- Graduate of a nursing program.
- All entry‑level associate degree RN applicants with a start date of April 1 2020 or later must provide documented evidence of baccalaureate degree completion within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.
- All entry‑level associate degree RN applicants with a start date prior to April 1 2020 must provide documented evidence of baccalaureate degree completion as required at time of hire.
- One year of RN experience or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, computer skills, and experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on‑call.
- Adaptability to unpredictable situations, demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking.
Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
Compensation Detail p>Minimum hourly rate is $35.28. Mayo Clinic’s nursing compensation model rewards experience, education, and dedication, complemented by a tuition reimbursement program.Benefits EligibleYes
ScheduleFull‑time, 12‑hour day shifts 5 am–5:30 pm, 1–2 call shifts per two‑week pay period. Floats to Menomonie, Barron, and London Road locations. Every third Saturday rotating call weekend coverage; two holidays per year.
