In this role you will use various heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport scrap metal materials within the yard. Equipment includes forklifts, front-end loaders, material handlers, and excavators. You will also promote a safe, secure, and healthy work environment while keeping equipment clean and well maintained.

No two days are the same, but the typical position responsibilities include:

• Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning
• Inform maintenance of condition of equipment through completion of daily inspection reports.
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations.
• Account for productivity by meeting prescribed production goals.
• Perform equipment and general site cleanup
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You might be the right fit if you have these skills:

• Work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Maneuver in and around equipment to inspect, operate, and maintain company property.
• Previous experience using a material handler and/or excavator is a plus.

• Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or nights
