PositionSummary
This position provides advanced litigation support and client services to the Trial Division staff attorneys. Responsibilities include conducting client intake and indigency evaluation, investigating cases, gathering and analyzing legal information, conducting complex legal research, assisting with the preparation of legal documents, and supporting attorneys throughout trial preparation and proceedings. The role also focuses on informing clients and attorneys about available sentencing options and treatment services.
SalaryInformation
Starting salary is between $24.12 and $35.06 per hour (pay schedule/range 07-04). A one-year probationary period is required.
Job DetailsBackground Check:
We conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.
License Requirement: A valid driver s license and the ability to drive a state vehicle are required. Travel to other counties in Wisconsin may be required.
Ability to Testify:
Must be able to testify effectively in court. A record of no criminal convictions that could impeach testimony is preferred.
Eligibility to Work in the US:
The SPD does not sponsor work visas. All hires must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete Form I-9.
