Hey Students! Are you passionate about technology and love solving problems? Become a Technical Services Intern at Royal Credit Union! In this role, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting IT systems, configuring hardware and software, and helping team members stay connected and productive. All applicants must be located in the Chippewa Valley Area & include a resume, cover letter, transcript and their anticipated graduation date when applying. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months and be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship. Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks.

What You’ll Do:

The Technical Services Intern provides essential technical support for Royal Credit Union under the guidance of the Information Technology Manager. This role involves installing and configuring PCs, software, hardware, and peripherals, as well as performing routine troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and team member satisfaction.

Our Commitment To You:
  • Compensation: $17.41 - 19.49 per hour ( candidates with significant related experience may be higher )
Intern Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Provide technical support to Royal team members across various communication channels, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and mobile devices, software, and network‑based systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets including PCs, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Document desktop, application, and network configurations, and collaborate with other departments for efficient problem‑solving.
What’s Needed For This Position:
  • Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • Must be bondable
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities for complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based systems, Microsoft Office, and common hardware like PCs, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to frequent interruptions.
