Hey Students! Are you passionate about data and analytics? Do you want to make a real impact while gaining hands‑on experience? Become a Business Intelligence Intern at Royal Credit Union! In this role, you’ll work closely with our Business Intelligence & Analytics team to assist in driving business decisions with data, create visual reports, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. You'll also get the chance to present your findings to senior leaders and contribute to data governance policies.

All applicants must be located in the Chippewa Valley Area & include a resume, cover letter, transcript and their anticipated graduation date when applying. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months and be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship. Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks.

What You’ll Do:

The Business Intelligence and Analytics Intern will work closely with Royal’s Business Intelligence & Analytics team to assist our business partners with using data, analysis, and visualizations to drive business decisions and strategies across the organization. The intern will work in partnership with IT mentors and business stakeholders to implement analytic solutions that support business strategies and create efficiencies. They may also assist in project work to improve processes within the data analytics team.

Our Commitment To You:
  • Compensation: $19.56 - $21.91 per hour (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)
Intern Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Assist with interviewing stakeholders, gathering requirement, managing work items, facilitating meetings, and testing dashboards
  • Support the delivery of visual reporting, infrastructure maturity, and business user consulting/training
  • Manage the development process and document steps for future replication
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to contribute to IT objectives and assist with Data Catalog implementation and enhancement
  • Build out Data Governance policies, meet performance goals, and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act
What Makes You A Great Fit:
  • Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics or similar field
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in data analysis, architecture, management, modeling, visualization, and SQL, with a passion for data and Business Intelligence
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities, with a drive to deliver high‑quality, accurate, and timely work
  • Strong communication skills to explain analytical processes, deliver visual reports, and communicate new processes and procedures effectively

  • Experience working/volunteering/participating on a team or club while balancing school work
