Patient Care Assistant - ICU - PCA

Overview

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Assistant (PCA) roles with Mayo Clinic. This opportunity aligns CNA experience with patient care responsibilities under the supervision of a registered nurse.

• The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, supporting and complementing nursing practice under RN supervision.
• Carry out delegated skills within the scope defined by law for unlicensed nursing personnel.

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.

• Completion of 12 college credits OR High school diploma/GED with successful completion of Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not currently held, BLS certification will be included as part of orientation.

• Nonexempt

• Compensation range is $20.00 - $24.26 / hour.
