Position Summary
The ADRC Resource Generalist serves as the primary front desk representative for the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC). This position provides agency-wide administrative support and connects individuals and families to appropriate programs and community resources.

The ADRC Resource Generalist serves as the primary front desk representative for the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC). This position provides agency-wide administrative support and connects individuals and families to appropriate programs and community resources.

Qualifications
  • Provides prompt, accurate and friendly customer service responses to requests for information; offers information and assistance to ADRC customers using trauma informed model of service.
  • Applies assessment and problem-solving skills to evaluate customer needs and requests to link clients with appropriate community resources and care options; conducts annual reassessments to determine eligibility for Meals on Wheels program.
  • Employs strong organizational and logistics skills to coordinate liquid supplement program: processes requests, monitors supply, places orders, verifies invoices and prepares weekly delivery routes.
  • Uses excellent oral and written communication skills to maintain correspondence within volunteer management software and schedule regular volunteers.
  • Directs general clerical experience to support ADRC office including filing; opening and distributing office mail; typing various correspondence, memos, reports, and forms; scanning; faxing; photocopying.
  • Practices effective attention to detail to monitor, coordinate, and maintain the Adaptive Equipment Loan Program.
  • Utilizes skill in personal computer operation utilizing a variety of standard and specialized software and online programs; enters and verifies data for program data entry into client tracking system for required federal reporting; runs reports as needed.
  • Accepts deposits of cash and checks, verifies the amounts by counting bills and change; makes deposits with county treasurer’s office.
  • Organizes the distribution of the monthly ADRC newsletter.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Training And Professional Experience Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of previous paid full-time general office experience.
  • Two (2) years of previous paid, full-time experience providing customer service to a variety of people including the elderly or adults living with disabilities.
  • Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of credit check, criminal, and caregiver background checks.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and access to private transportation for work-related duties.
  • Must possess and maintain personal automobile insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000.
Desired Training And Professional Experience Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Experience with general accounting practices.
  • Keyboarding skills of 55 w.p.m.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual is based on years of service with the County, starting at 6.4 hours accruing each pay period (20.8 days per year), with the maximum accrual rate of 35.75 days per year.

New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a Spring Holiday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve Day.

Retirement: The County provides a retirement account in Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). Employees pay one-half of the actuarially required contributions.
