Biomedical Equipment Technician I, II, III

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I is a highly technical position that serves our patients through creative, high quality, biomedical equipment support and technical assistance for clinical associates in a professional, timely and cost effective manner. This individual is required to have a high level of specialized technical ability in problem solving, use of test equipment and service documentation to maintain a wide variety of equipment types used for patient diagnostics and treatment, clinical laboratory, radiology, surgery and other medical and support departments.

• Minimum
  
  Required:
  
  Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology, or certificate of equivalent Military/Technical education.
• Preferred/Optional:
  Associate of Applied Sciences Degree, or certificate of equivalent Military/Technical education.

• Minimum
  
  Required:
  
  Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology internship or equivalent internship experience.
• Preferred/Optional:
  None.

• Minimum
  
  Required:
  
  Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
• Preferred/Optional: AAMI Credentials Institute (AMI), Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (CBET), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES), or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification.
