Business Development Manager – North America
The Business Development Manager – North America is responsible for driving commercial growth across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This role focuses on securing new OEM and Tier 1 customer programs while expanding relationships across on‑highway, off‑highway, power generation, and adjacent clean technology markets. You will play a central role in executing the North American growth strategy and establishing a strong commercial presence that aligns with global operations.
What You Will Need- Proven success in business development or technical sales within automotive, commercial vehicle, industrial, or powertrain markets
- Strong understanding of OEM and Tier 1 customer structures, decision‑making processes, and program life cycles
- Experience selling technical or engineered products into manufacturing environments
- Excellent commercial judgment with strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑growing, high‑visibility region
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America (50–70%)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging engineering, purchasing, and program management audiences
- Knowledge of thermal insulation, heat protection, or exhaust system technologies
- Experience working with heavy‑duty truck, off‑highway, construction, or agricultural OEMs
- Familiarity with U.S. emissions and environmental regulations and their commercial impact
- Fluency in English; additional North American languages are a plus
Business Development & Growth
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and targeted aftermarket channels
- Build and manage a structured sales pipeline aligned with North American growth objectives
- Present differentiated value propositions and product advantages to engineering, purchasing, and program management teams
- Deliver revenue and margin growth through program wins and new account expansion
Account Management
- Establish and grow long‑term customer relationships with new accounts
- Serve as the primary commercial interface for North American customers, ensuring strong execution and customer satisfaction
- Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and program launches in collaboration with sales leadership and operations teams
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments
- Provide actionable insights to inform product positioning, pricing, and commercial strategy
- Represent the business at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events to generate leads and build visibility
- Partner closely with global engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure smooth program delivery
- Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline updates, and account reports
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of the North American go‑to‑market strategy
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous professional development
