Experienced Ophthalmic Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Technician that is detail oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required.

• Obtain a thorough and concise patient history, including relevant medical, ocular, and family history, to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions.
• Record visual acuity measurements using standardized testing methods, ensuring precise documentation of patients  visual function for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
• Perform manifest refractions with precision and efficiency, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to determine the optimal refractive correction for patients with refractive errors.
• Conduct intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements using tonometry techniques.
• Accurately document examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the dynamic needs of the practice, including willingness to travel between multiple office locations as needed.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification preferred, but not required.

8:30AM-5:00PM. Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required for Saturdays and evenings.
