Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

SUMMARY: The Easton Area School District is seeking a skilled, dependable, and collaborative individual to serve as a Carpenter. The Carpenter will perform a wide range of carpentry, construction, and maintenance duties to ensure district buildings and facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained. Responsibilities include installation, repair, and maintenance of structural and finish components throughout the district. Salary will be commensurate with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assumes responsibility for maintaining safe building conditions by installing, repairing, and maintaining structural and finish elements such as floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, roofing, and hardware. Performs carpentry, drywall, flooring, concrete, cabinetry, and ceiling work; constructs partitions and frameworks; and installs trim, lavatory partitions, and aluminum coverings. Estimates materials for projects, maintains tools and equipment, reports repair needs, and applies sound construction techniques while fostering positive working relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:.

Requires a minimum of five years of residential or commercial carpentry experience; strong knowledge and skill in construction methods, materials, and tools; a valid Pennsylvania driver's license; physical and emotional stamina; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
