We're entering an exciting chapter in St. Luke's history-our largest expansion ever is opening Fall 2026. At our brand-new, state-of-the-art Heart Hospital, you'll work directly with patients and deliver life-changing care using the latest technology and treatments.

This 350,000-square-foot expansion will, ultimately, add 150 inpatient beds, 10 cutting-edge operating rooms, and 10 advanced interventional suites, strengthening our leadership in cardiology and tertiary services.

Part time, less than 36 hours per week

Per Diem (if available), minimum of 2 shifts/month

Holiday and weekend requirements per unit and company policies

On-Call responsibilities required

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs in depth, systematic assessment of all assigned patients.

* Formulates collaborative and individualized plan of care and identifies expected patient outcomes, using the nursing process and prioritizes patient care consistently utilizing available resources cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.

* Demonstrates ability to function successfully in scrub role as identified in CST job description and as it relates to scrubbing, gowning, gloving, preparing instruments, & suture, implementing surgical asepsis, safety precautions, counts, and cost-effective safe care.

* Functions as a professional role model and resource person providing guidance to co-workers. Demonstrates/models the Network's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).

* Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.

* Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

TRAINING AND

EXPERIENCE:

Cardiac OR experience preferred. Minimum of one-year operating room nursing experience required. Individualized orientation program for all areas. Maintain current BLS certification. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Court. AORN Certification preferred (CNOR).

EDUCATION:

Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sit up to 2 hours per day; 1 hour at a time. Stand for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Walk 6 hours per day; 10 minutes at a time. Consistently lift, carry and push objects up to 10 lbs. Frequently lift, carry and push objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 250 lbs.

via wheelchair, bed and/or stretcher with assistance when appropriate. Consistently pull up to 10 lbs. Frequently pull up to 250 lbs. with assistance when appropriate. Frequently stoop and bend, crouch, kneel and climb. Frequently reach above shoulder level. Occasional crawling. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Frequently finger and handle objects. Occasionally firmly grasp, twist, and turn objects with hands and fingers.
